During almost all of his existence, Edwin Crespo-Alvarado has been working out of his beloved island of Puerto Rico as a Graphic Artist. His experience on the field dates back to almost 30 years. Edwin started in the business as an amateur with only his innate creative abilities guiding him before he earned his first degree at University of Puerto Rico. Later, by the time many graphic artists were switching careers with the advent of computers into the arts, he continued gaining experience and expanding his knowledge by graduating first of his class from Florida A&M University at Tallahassee, Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design.

Edwin has been and still is the head of the Art Department of different magazines and newspapers from his natal Puerto Rico, such as Caribbean Business, El Visitante, La Estrella, and Diálogo, the University of Puerto Rico’s newspaper. Despite of all his experience in a wide range of graphic arts projects, from huge billboards to custom designed commercial kiosks, Edwin confesses that what he enjoys the most is creating caricatures. These he draws at parties and other activities at a rate of 10 guests per hour. 

Edwin lets us know what he says is central to his life’s philosophy: “You must laugh at yourself and keep a good sense of humor…having fun with the situations that we encounter every day, transforms a dull existence into an enjoyable experience for us and others. Then, why not laugh at life and smile at others? There’s nothing to it”.

With that life’s philosophy, it’s not surprising that Edwin’s clients seek him not only for his superb creativity, talent and awesome customer services aptitude, but also for his cheerful disposition and relaxed manners.
